Edo Election: Security operatives deployed to Govt House

Visitors to the seat of power were properly searched before they are allowed to go in.

The Edo election has just just been concluded and a lot of people have still not accepted the outcome of the polls.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Godwin Obaseki as the winner.

According to reports, a protest broke out outside the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Edo State.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) also rejected the results of the governorship election.

According to Vanguard, security personnel have been deployed to the INEC office in Edo.

Others were also stationed at the Edo state Government House.

The security team also barricaded various vulnerable points around the Government House.

Reports also say visitors to the seat of power were properly searched before they are allowed to go in.

Police Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs) were also seen around the All Progressives Congress (APC) secretariat.
