Bill Nunn — 'Radio Raheem' Actor Dead At 62

0924-bill-nunn-radio-raheem-40-acres-01Bill Nunn who rose to fame as “Radio Raheem” in Spike Lee‘s “Do The Right Thing” has died … according to the director. 

Lee posted a lengthy tribute to Raheem Saturday, saying the actor passed away in his hometown of Pittsburgh. Lee says, ““Long Live Bill NUNN. RADIO RAHEEM Is Now RESTING IN POWER. RADIO RAHEEM WILL ALWAYS BE FIGHTING DA POWERS DAT BE.”

Nunn made his acting debut in Lee’s 1988 film “School Daze” … but his claim to fame was for playing Raheem. Nunn also went on to act in other films, including the Spider-Man trilogy.

Bill was 62.
