The family of Iwuorie and Ekwe community in Isu LGA wherein one Kelechi Iwuorie, a deranged lady who had put to bed a male child in Orsuobodo Community in Oguta, LGA, Imo State has urged the government and the state police command to help them recover their missing baby boy.
In an interview with Nigeria Newspoint in Owerri,the state capital, the father of the insane lady, Pa Cornelius Iwuorie, a septuagenarian, beckoned on Governor Rochas Okorocha and the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Taiwo Lakanu to speedily come to his aid by assisting him find out the where about of his grandchild.
The embittered Pa Iwuorie alleged that his mentally unstable daughter, Kelechi had put to bed a fort night ago but the midwife at the Health Centre in Orsu-Obodo, Oguta LGA, one Mrs Ifeanyinwa Madunagum allegedly connived with unidentified persons to take away the baby boy and uptill now abandoned the mother to her fate, saying this is unbecoming of the Ministry in charge. He therefore pleaded that his grand son be produced and handed over to him.
The brother to the father of the insane woman, Chief Ken Onyenaemerem said, meanwhile, they have recovered their daughter (Kelechi) through the help of the man of God; Prophet King Powerful Skarrymongo but they can’t find the baby and wondered why with all the publicity, the people in the custody of the new born baby boy has not contacted the family and/or the community.
Prophet Skarrymongo on his part, lamented his ordeal in the hand of the police at Oguta and the Health Care Centre where the insane woman was delivered of her baby, saying it was surprising that in such a serious crime, the police he reported to treated it with so much triviality and even molested him in the process .
The prophet recounted the touching experience of how the mad woman delivered in the Health Centre garage by herself using her teeth to cut off the umbilical cord and placenta, alleging that after the birth of the baby the deranged woman was sent away, adding that she was maltreated by the midwife each time she demanded to see her baby .
Responding through a telephone conversation, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO in the State, Mr. Andrew Enwerem informed that the baby boy was safe.
The police spokesperson disclosed that he gathered that there was proper hand over of the baby boy between the Orsu-Obodo Health Centre management and the officials of Ministry of Health, Women Affairs and Social Development in the state.
Mr Enwerem however denied the claim by Prophet Skarrymongo that he was molested by the police, saying that the police had no reason to molest him or any law abiding citizen.
