Following the murder of 10 persons, three suspects have been arraigned before the Magistrate's court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Suspects in the alleged murder of ten persons, nine of which were police officers, have been arraigned before a Magistrate’s court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The three apprehended suspects reportedly shot and killed the victims during various bank robbery operations throughout the state.
The suspects identified as Godgift Gwenbe (29), Odum Atokaritou (35), and Napughi Duba (29), are currently facing 18 counts of conspiracy, armed robbery, kidnapping and murder.
They are also alleged to have been responsible for the death of SPY ASP Bamidele Mohammed, who prior to his death, was attached to Sterling Bank, Port Harcourt, Inspector Austine Moore, attached to Elekahia Police Station in Port Harcourt; Corporal Prince Tigbara (Elekahia Police Station) and Inspector Jonah Oletu.
Others victims are identified as Inspector Peter Olavoghokere, Corporal Paul Nnaa, Inspector Dennis Akpan, attached to Olu-Obasanjo Police Station, Port Harcourt; Sergeant Ekwere Epoulo, Corporal Okougor Nyambi all attached to Olu-Obasanjo Police Station and Mr. Femi Oloukun, who was the Regional Manager of Sterling Bank.
The suspects are also accused of kidnapping one Nkechi Chika, the Director of Pre-Pay Hotel, Eagle Island. Chika was reportedly held captive for two days and was only released after the N10 million ransom was paid.
Duba, Atokaritou and Gwenbe as well as other gang members who are still at large, attacked and robbed a bullion van, making away with the sum of $400,000, property of Sterling Bank, Port Harcourt. They have also been involved in the robbery of Diamond Bank, Trans-Amadi Branch in Port Harcourt.

The case has been adjourned to November 28, while the suspects have been remanded in prison.
