Classic man Jidenna did his thing as he gave an electric performance of his popular tunes and unreleased tracks.

Yesterday, September 1, 2016, Nigerian-American singer Jidenna wowed the city of Lagos with the strength of his personality as he performed at Hard Rock Cafe in Lagos.

The ‘Classic Man‘ singer who performed hit singles and tracks from his unreleased album ‘Chief Don’t Run‘ tore the house down with the brilliance of his stage craft.

It was a display of artistry and professionalism as Jidenna totally engaged the crowd and gave an immersive performance.

Jidenna’s homecoming performance attracted celebrities such as Chinedu Ikedieze, Cobhams Asuquo, Lynxxx, Mr Eazi, DJ Cuppy, Dorcas Shola Fapson, DJ Xclusive, Mercy Ajisafe, Beverly Naya, DJ Spinall,Toni Tones, Sound Sultan, Praiz, Burna Boy, Bez, Ikechukwu, Black Magic and others.

Later on during his performance, pop stars Wizkid and Timaya showed up. Psquare was also around, but the twins kept a low profile. Jidenna’s older sister who lives in Lagos also watched her little brother perform.

Before Jidenna got on stage, the atmosphere was more chilled and relaxed than usual for a concert in Lagos. Maybe there were too many Island folks in the building but Mr Eazi warmed the crowd up with his string of hits before Jidenna did his thing.

Also, there were quite a number of kids at the event. Secondary school kids were in Hard Rock Cafe to see Jidenna perform. Maybe the show wasn’t strictly an above 18 affair.

Not too many high profile Nigerian celebrities showed up to see Jidenna which was a bit surprising. For someone with a rising profile in the music scene in America, one would have thought that more Nigerian celebrities would have shown up.

Speaking of absent celebrities who didn’t show up, Ice Prince didn’t come for the event but his manager Tobi Daniel was around with a lovely lady who stayed attached to him throughout.

Overall, Jidenna was worth every bit of the hype and N20,000 that the organizers charged for the show.
