The recent heavy downpour associated with the rainy season of August has left massive damages behind in the northern part of Nigeria.
The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) revealed in a statement that hundreds of farmlands were destroyed in the recent floods within Baure, Ingawa, Matazu and Malumfashi Local Government areas of Katsina state.
An assessment was carried out to note the extent of the damage done after the heavy downpour. This is expected to affect the volume of agricultural productivity this year, 2016.
