Suspected of a fatal attack by militants on a military post in Nembe area of Bayelsa State on the 8th of August, 2016 leading to the death of 3 soldiers have been apprehended by the Nigerian army.
According to reports, the military lost some arms and ammunition as well as a warboat to the militants in the surprise raid. The suspects were arrested by Special security outfit “BAYELSA WATERWAYS SECURITY TASKFORCE” led by ex-militant leader, Master Africanus Ukparasia.
The unidentified men were said to have been apprehended at Olugbobiri community in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State based on an intelligence gathering report and have been handed over to the“OPERATION DELTA SAFE COMMAND”.
They pleaded guilty to the offence and gave narratives on how they carried out their attacks.
