Yola—Adamawa State government, yesterday, constituted an administrative Commission of Enquiry to look into clashes between herdsmen and farmers in the state.
The was sequel to a marathon meeting of security chiefs, Governor Mohammed Jibrilla and stakeholders from the troubled communities.
The eight-man committee is headed by a judge of Adamawa High Court, Justice Nathan Musa, with Hamidu Bashir as Secretary.
The Commissioner for Information, Ahmed Sajoh, said the state government and stakeholders had agreed to set up the commission to investigate and find a lasting solution to the crisis across the state.
Sajoh said the warring groups had agreed to halt hostilities that had claimed over 60 lives, leaving many injured, since the beginning of the year.
