ASABA—Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State has congratulated Chief Ighoyota Amori on the occasion of his 64th birthday, describing him as a political general.
Chief Amori who served as Commissioner for Education and Water Resources under former Governor James Ibori, Senior Political Adviser to former Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan and had a brief stay at Senate in 2015, turned 64 on August 8.
Okowa in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Charles Aniagwu, extolled the leadership qualities and astute contributions of Chief Amori towards the winning streak of the PDP in the state.
He said: “On behalf of my family, the government and people of Delta State, I wish to felicitate with a political leader of inestimable value, Chief Amori, on the occasion of his 64th birthday anniversary celebration.
“A sagacious politician of repute, you are well-respected for your political tolerance and perseverance; you have come a long way to achieve a reputation that has made you a celebrity and political colossus.
“The immeasurable and invaluable contributions you have made to the infrastructural and human capital development in Urhobo nation and Delta State is indelible in the minds of Deltans.”
