This is the sixth week of the Naijaloaded Music Review.
Music is life and it’s always non-stop music on the Naijaloaded Music Category.
As usual, some of the outstanding songs released from the recently concluded week has been selected for review, from July 31st to August 6th.
Mama Aboyo by Patoranking ft Olamide : This song will definitely rock the dance floor with its infectious beat and its easily sing along chorus. Good to see Patoranking and Olamide on a dancehall beat, they both went in.
Outta My Head by Simi & Praiz : This is a classic, if Simi continues like this, she might just overtake Tiwa and Yemi Alade to be the leading female artist in Nigeria/Africa. Praiz did justice to his role on this record. The producer of this single is Oscar and he’s probably the most underrated producer right now.
Tinana by Kcee : Tinana is a feel good music accompanied with good back up vocals. Kcee can be a bit stereotype with his sound at times but this is still a great job.
This Kind Love by Patoranking ft Wizkid : This is sweet music from the hit-makers. Patoranking turned up with nice verses while Wizkid killed the chorus alongside a very professional production since it’s Sarz on the beat. Matured sound.
Pon Da Floor by Shaydee : This record sounds like a hit, Shaydee is due for one but for some unknown reasons, his efforts are easily forgettable even though his talent is massive. Pon Da Floor is a certified good music and hopefully it will go beyond just that. Maleek Berry can do almost no wrong.
Follow D Ladder by Harrysong ft Skiibii : This is good music with a specific message. From the producer to both artists on this record, they all kept it simple and nice. Follow the rest of the review.
Mr Senator by 2Baba : It is common knowledge that making good music is nothing to this humble Legend. This song is for a brand that recently endorsed him and it’s nothing short of good music.
Baba Niyen by Pelepele : He sounds a lot like Olamide on this record, it’s not the first time and they apparently have a history together after recently dissing him with a Who You Epp cover, it is almost like the story of Dbanj and Durella some years ago. Baba Niyen is like a re-make of Awon Goons Mi by Olamide with a very different and nice feel/concept, still qualifies as good music.
Bless Me by Chinko Ekun : Chinko Ekun talks to God in this laid back hip-hop beat with few word plays and funny lines. He needs to go harder than this if he really means business with music, he’s talented though, no doubt about that.
Counting My Blessings by Jibola ft Oritse Femi : Meaningful music by the duo backed up with a danceable laid back beat. Good music without a doubt.
Ben-Jonson by H-cien ft Jskillzy : The track sounds like it was inspired by Zoro’s Ogene only to find out that it was produced by the same producer that produced Ogene. The young rapper showed a lot of potentials.
One Arm Mopol by Don Geo : Maybe its a little bias that he made the list this week but then, this artist is an inspiration. With just one hand, he’s determined to re-write his story with just one mic. He dropped some inspirational bars on this record and even told a story with his rap, that’s a big deal.
